Illegal shotgun found in man’s house
Police discovered an illegal double-barrel shotgun at the home of a man who is accused of assault. The discovery was made on Monday at Wauna Scheme, North West District, Region One.
Esim Alberts, 33, a mason was arrested after he admitted that he did not have a firearm license.
Police were responding to an assault report made by 24-year-old Lindo Fitzpatricks, a labourer, who claimed that Alberts attacked him.
“Upon arrival at Alberts’ residence, the Police observed him behaving suspiciously and subsequently requested a search of his premises and was granted permission.
“The search, which was conducted in the presence of Alberts and his partner, Kimelita Romaldo, led to the discovery of a double-barrel shotgun hidden under a bed,” Police said in a statement.
