Woman found dead at Long Creek

Police are investigating the death of a 51-year-old woman whose lifeless body was discovered at Long Creek, Soesdyke Linden Highway on Saturday.

The dead woman has been identified as Annette Williams.

According to the Police, Williams died sometime between 11:00hrs on Friday and 10:00hrs on Saturday.

Williams lived with her husband and two children.

According to the Police, enquiries revealed that Williams left home around 09:00hrs on Friday.

She later returned home and went to the nearby creek to bathe but she did not return.

Williams’ lifeless body was discovery on Saturday by a 68-year-old caretaker, who was on his way to the creek, Police said.

An alarm was raised and the Police were summoned. Williams body was examined by there was no visible marks of violence.

Investigators believe that the woman died by suicide. However, a postmortem examination is yet to be conducted.
