P&P Insurance recommits to Prime Minister’s Softball Cup

For a fifth year, P&P Insurance has again supported the Georgetown Cricket Softball League for the seventh Prime Minister’s T20 Cup, which concludes at the Demerara Cricket Club on Sunday evening.

Executive Director, Vikash Panday, expressed that this year the tournament is much bigger, attracting teams from Guyana and the Diaspor, and wished the league and all teams much success in the tournament.

Additionally,  he expressed that P&P Insurance has been, for a long time, fulfilling its corporate social responsibility, sponsoring all types of sporting events, and asked that fellow members of the Private Sector follow suit and come on board in supporting sport.

Local teams and sides from Canada and the United States will vie for more than G$3M in cash and prizes.

The male competition is divided into three groups, with ten teams battling in the Legends (Over-50) category, eight in the Masters (Over-40), and six in the All-Stars (Open).

In addition, eight teams will also battle in the female category

This year’s Cup will reward the winning female team with G$300,000 and a trophy.

The Masters and Open divisions will compete for prizes of G$600,000 each, while the winners in the Legends category will receive G$1M.
