Milo Schools Football: Chase Academy, Bartica Sec. to clash in colossal quarter-final fixture

Dolphin Secondary put on an impressive display, dispatching Queen’s College with a convincing 6-1 win, and will now face West Ruimveldt Secondary in the fourth quarter-final at 17:30h.

West Ruimveldt got the better of North Ruimveldt 3-1, with Elijah Sattaur scoring a second-half brace, while Donovan Welcome netted the third.

In a tightly contested match, East Ruimveldt emerged victorious over their rivals, South Ruimveldt, in a penalty shootout after a 1-1 stalemate.

East Ruimveldt secured their spot in the final eight with a 3-0 penalty win and will now face President’s College, who edged Charlestown 2-1.

The biggest margin of victory was Waramuri Primary Top defeating Yarrowkabra 10-0. Zundel Abrams recorded a helmet-trick, while Odell Holmes tallied a hat-trick, along with one goal each from Denzil Abrams, Marcus Smith and Rondell Peters.

Their quarter-final opponents, Ann’s Grove, had a contrasting match. They won 5-3 on penalties after their clash with Abram Zuil was locked 4-4 at full time.

The winners of this 10th edition will receive G$300,000 towards a school project, the runners-up will pocket G$150,000, and third place will settle for G$75,000.

Individually, there will be accolades for the Most Valuable Player (MVP), highest goal-scorer and best goalkeeper.
