Bartica man remanded to prison after sexual activity with child

Haniff Khan, a 42-year-old unemployed resident of Four Miles Housing Scheme, Bartica, Region Seven, has been remanded to prison after he was charged for engaging in sexual activity with a child. 

Police Headquarters reported that Khan was arrested on July 1, 2025. 

He appeared at the Bartica Magistrate’s Court on Friday before Magistrate Teriq Mohammed. He pleaded not guilty to the charge but was later remanded to prison. 

The matter has been adjourned until August 15, 2025.
