59-Y-O Linden man succumbs to injuries, Carpenter arrested
A 59-year-old Labourer of South Amelia’s Ward, Linden, has succumbed to his injuries after he was stabbed on Thursday at the Mackenzie Market, Linden.
Police said Ray London had previous disagreements with a 41-year-old carpenter of Wismar, Linden. At about 17:00h on Thursday, it is alleged that the carpenter armed himself with a knife and inflicted a stab wound to the left side of London’s lower abdomen.
The injured man was escorted to the Linden Hospital Complex, where he received medical attention and was subsequently transferred to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation where he succumbed to his injuries while receiving medical attention on Friday March 6, 2026 about 05:33h.
The body was escorted to the Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, where it awaits a post-mortem examination.
Police have since contacted and arrested the suspect, who is presently in custody assisting with investigations.
Investigations are ongoing.
