President Ali makes changes to Permanent Secretaries at various ministries

President Dr Irfaan Ali on Thursday announced changes to Permanent Secretaries at various government ministries and also appointed two new persons at the Ministry of Legal Affairs and the Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development.

The News Room understands that Adele Diane Tricia Cole-Clarke was appointed as the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Legal Affairs while the former Head of Regional Planning in the State Planning Unit of the Ministry of Finance, Miguel Shaun Choo-Kang,  was announced as the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development.

Additionally, President Ali also re-assigned six Permanent Secretaries (PS), including Alfred King, who will take up the responsibility as Permanent Secretary in the Office of the Prime Minister; King was the PS of the Ministry of Education.

Shanielle Hossein-Outar was re-assigned as Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education; she was PS at the Ministry of Human Services and Social Security.

Prema Roopnarine is now the new Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Human Services and Social Security; she served as the PS of the Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development.

President Ali also re-assigned Bishram Kuppen as the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Housing and Water; Kuppen served as PS in the Ministry of Labour.

Meanwhile, Andre Ally is the new Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs; he served the Housing Ministry at the moment.

And finally, Mae Toussaint Jr. Thomas who was the PS at the Home Affairs Ministry, was re-assigned as the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Labour.
