Man admits to stabbing drinking buddy during argument

Police have arrested a 53-year-old gold miner of Four Miles, Bartica, Region Seven for stabbing his drinking buddy to the neck in the wee hours of Wednesday.

Injured is 32-year-old Rapheal Schroeder, a labourer of Third Avenue, Bartica.

Police Headquarters reported that the incident occurred at about 02:15 hrs on Wednesday at Third Street Bartica.

Schroeder and the suspect were imbibing when they got into a heated argument during which the suspect armed himself with a knife and stabbed him.

Schroeder was taken to the Bartica Regional Hospital and is admitted in a serious condition.

Police ranks later arrested the suspect who admitted to the offence, the Police release noted.
