KFC School Football: Chase and Clarendon secure semi-final spots

Bryan Wharton has seven goals in two matches for Chase Academic Foundation

Saturday’s final match day pits St. Ignatius against Bartica in a dead-rubber from 13:30h at Queen’s College Ground, but the other two matches, Waramadong against Suriname from 15:30h at QC and St. Benedict’s and Carmel from 18:00h at Ministry of Education ground, will determine which two progresses from Group A.

It could end in a situation where the Trinidadians, Carmel, and Suriname all end on the same points with two wins and a loss, meaning goal difference will separate them.

Chase and Claredon will close off the group matches from 20:ooh.

The semi-finals are on December 19, while the final is on December 22 at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue.

This year, the top school cops a prize of US$2,500, followed by US$1,500 (second), US$1,000 (third), and US$500 (fourth).
