Porknocker fatally stabbed by drinking buddy

A 27-year-old porknocker is now dead after he was stabbed to death on Monday by his drinking buddy at Big Creek Backdam, North West District.

The dead man has been identified as Eutan George called “Blacka”.

The incident occurred at around 18:00hrs. Police Headquarters confirmed that the suspect, a 22-year-old gold miner, was subsequently arrested at his home.

According to a Police report, George and the suspect were imbibing together at a shop in the area.

Subsequently, George left the shop for home and the suspect walked behind him. Police reported that George’s 22-year-old brother was walking to the shop when he observed the body lying on the ground.

Hid body bore a stab wound to his chest; the Police at Port Kaituma were informed

Police said the suspect confessed to the crime and provided investigators with information which led to the recovery of the murder weapon.

George’s body is at the hospital’s mortuary, awaiting a post-mortem examination.
