Two Weeks Later: Boy, 17, dies from injuries in motorcycle accident

an accident on the Williamsburg Public Road, Corentyne, Berbice, 17-year-old Veeram Seecharran has died.

Seecharran was hospitalised after he was seriously injured in the accident which occurred around 20:30 on April 19.

Two others men, Vekash Tulsi, 21, of  South First Street Letter Kenny and Rondy Emmanuel, 22, a labourer Williamsburg, died following the accident.

The accident involved two motorcycles. Seecharran was the pillon rider of motorcycle, CM 50 which was driven by Emmanuel.

While, Tulsi was riding his motorcycle, CM 2969.

Police Headquarters in a statement had said initial investigations revealed that Tulsi was speeding, headed west along the southern drive lane of the road while Emmanuel was also speeding but headed east along the northern drive, when Emmanuel allegedly lost control of his motorcycle.

This caused him to end up in the path of motorcycle, CM 2969. As a result, both motorcycles collided head-on, causing the motorcyclists and the pillion rider to fall onto the road.

They were all picked up in an unconscious condition and taken to Port Mourant Public Hospital.

Tulsi was pronounced dead while, Emmanuel succumbed while receiving medical attention.

Seecharran was being treated for a fractured skull and transferred to New Amsterdam Public Hospital, where he admitted as a patient until his death.
