Robbery convict now wanted by police for larceny, other crimes

Four years after he pleaded guilty and was remanded for armed robbery, Marlon Vossey, 24, is now wanted for larceny, break and enter, and discharging a loaded firearm.

Police Headquarters on Thursday issued a bulletin for his arrest. His last known address is Lot 31 No. 5 Village, West Coast Berbice.

In 2021, Vossey was charged with armed robbery and possession of an illegal firearm. He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to four years imprisonment.

Vossey pleaded guilty to robbing a 49-year-old man of Good Hope, Essequibo Coast, at gunpoint of $1.5 million and three gold chains valued at $380, 000 on October 15, 2021.

Following the robbery, Vossey and two accomplices attempted to escape into the Supenaam Creek but were apprehended by public-spirited citizens and later handed over to the police.

A .38 revolver and a bag containing $224,890 cash was also recovered during the arrest of Vossey and one of his accomplices.
