GCC’s cricket camp giving a platform for budding talents

Former national player and decorated captain Leon Johnson, a distinguished club product who graduated from the club’s cricket camp 24 years ago, told the players to make the most of the opportunities and be attentive to the coaches’ teachings.

Johnson indicated that while ideally, he would love to spend more time with the players, he would dedicate time to helping them during the camp.

Club President Jonathan Yearwood implored the group to demonstrate discipline, which is vital for success. The first step in showing such a characteristic is ensuring there are prompts for the sessions, which commence at 09:00h.

The club expressed immense appreciation for the support of Queensway Security, Guyana Beverages Inc., Sankar’s Auto Colour, and Auto Works, among others, in making the camp a reality again.
