118 grams of Cannabis discovered at Westminster

Police in Regional Division #3 are investigating the discovery of a quantity of suspected cannabis which was found on Saturday, June 20, 2026,  during an operation conducted at Westminster Last Bridge, West Bank Demerara.

The discovery was made between 17:00hrs and 17:15hrs.

During the exercise, ranks conducted a search of a flat structure situated south of a wash bay, during which one brown cardboard box containing leaves, seeds and stems suspected to be cannabis was found.

The suspected cannabis was escorted to the La Parfaite Harmonie Police Station, where it was weighed and amounted to 118 grams before being lodged.

No arrest was made. Investigations are ongoing.
