30 months jail for armed robbery

Kevin Grant, a 24-year-old resident of Fourth Field Kaneville, East Bank Demerara, was on Wednesday charged with the offence of armed robbery.

Grant is accused of robbing 29-year-old Ramnarine Singh, on April 27, 2023, at Macaw Drive, Kaneville; he was armed with a cutlass during the attack.

The accused appeared before Magistrate Sunil Scarce, where he pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 30 months imprisonment.
