Labourer drowns at Golden Fleece

A labourer who was cleaning a trench aback Golden Fleece in Region Two (Pomeroon- Supenaam) drowned on Saturday.

Dead is Lakeram Bishnue. He is a father of two who resided at Perseverance, Region Two.

The News Room understands that he was cleaning the trench with a colleague. He reportedly disappeared for about 30 minutes before the colleague raised an alarm

Eventually, the man was found at about 11:30 hrs.

His body was retrieved by Police and taken to the Suddie Public Hospital. Investigations are ongoing.
