President to announce ‘impending changes’ to REOs

at least one REO has come under fire after residents of his region flagged several concerns. Region Six’s REO Narindra Persaud in October came in for much rebuke from President Ali after residents of Mara complained bitterly about issues in the community, including the non-payment of pensions in the community.

Prior to that, President Ali changed Permanent Secretaries at various government ministries and also appointed two new persons at the Ministry of Legal Affairs and the Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development.
