Motorcyclist succumbs hours after accident

A 20-year-old motorcyclist died while receiving medical treatment hours after he was involved in an accident on Sunday. Dead is Andy Roberts of 57 Village, Corentyne Berbice. The News Room understands that Roberts succumbed while at the Georgetown Public Hospital.

The accident involved the motorcyclist and a car being driven at the time by Suraj Shewdas.

Roberts was picked up by public spirited persons and rushed to the Skeldon Public Hospital, he was later transferred to New Amsterdam Public Hospital and finally, the Georgetown Hospital.
