The Berbice Cricket Board’s KSM First-Division Super50 round-robin tournament will commence on Saturday, September 12, with matches being played at several venues across Berbice.
According to the BCB, the competition will provide players with valuable match practice ahead of next month’s Guyana Cricket Board Senior Inter-County tournament. Matches will begin at 9:30hrs and will be played under Cricket West Indies and International Cricket Council Super50 regulations.
The participating clubs have been divided into four groups, each headed by a top-seeded team. The team finishing with the most points in each group will advance to the semifinals. Net run rate will determine the group winner if teams finish level on points.

On September 19, Rose Hall Canje will host Berbice River, and Young Warriors will face Cotton Tree at the Young Warriors Ground. The group stage will conclude on September 26, when Young Warriors host Berbice River and Cotton Tree entertain Rose Hall Canje.
A victory will earn a team 12 points, while four points will be awarded for a washed-out match. Tied games will be decided by a Super Over.
The tournament will be played with white balls and coloured clothing. Each club will be allowed to field only one non-Berbician, while players cannot represent more than one club during the competition.
Teams must comply with all decisions made by the BCB during the tournament, with failure to do so potentially resulting in disqualification. Clubs have also been urged to uphold the true spirit of the game throughout the competition.
