Businessman killed during robbery, suspect caught

A businessman was shot and killed at his Williamsburg, Corentyne, Berbice house sometime last night and early this morning during a robbery.

Dead is Akbar Sain, the proprietor of the Sain Supermarket. Regional Commander, Shivpersaud Bacchus confirmed the incident and noted that Police are still at the scene.

The News Room has since confirmed that a suspect was caught with the loot and is in Police custody assisting with investigations.
