The Guyana Open, Guyana’s premier golfing championship, is set to make an emphatic return to the Lusignan Golf Club (LGC), on October 31 and November 1, 2026, a recent communication has informed.

The Guyana Open has established itself as one of the Caribbean’s premier golf tournaments, providing a platform for local golfers to compete against high-calibre international talent while promoting the continued growth of the sport in Guyana.
Preparations are already underway at the LGC, where the grounds team is working diligently to ensure the course is presented in championship condition. Players can expect a true test of accuracy, strategy, and consistency on one of the Region’s finest golf courses.
The event will officially commence with the traditional Cocktail Reception on the evening of October 31, bringing together sponsors, players, club members, officials, and invited guests before competitive play begins.
LGC Public Relations Officer, Dr Joaan Deo, expressed enthusiasm ahead of the tournament.
